David Wilcox, DNP, MHA, BSN, RN-BC, LSSBB, is a healthcare professional who believes proactive patient education enables those accessing the healthcare system to be better partners in their health care. Dr Wilcox also believes that everyone has the right to access the American Healthcare System safely. Dr. Wilcox is a Doctorally prepared nurse who also holds a Masters in Health Administration and is Board Certified in Nursing Informatics. Dr. Wilcox has 28 years of healthcare experience in which he worked as a bedside nurse, hospital administrator, and in healthcare information technology which has helped him to develop his unique perspective on the American Healthcare System.
Dr Wilcox has been published in Health Management Technology for his work in patient throughput, American Nurse Today for his work in health care mobility solutions and the American Organization of Nurse Leaders (AONL) Voice for the use of technology in wellness and patient engagement. Dr. Wilcox is the author of the book “How to Avoid Being a Victim of the American Healthcare System: A Patient’s Handbook for Survival (2021)” available at https://www.amazon.com/dp/0578878364 Dr. Wilcox is a past member of the Institute of Healthcare Improvements Flow Community and has presented at multiple national conferences.

Craig Joseph, MD, FAAP, FAMIA is the Chief Medical Officer of Nordic Global, an international healthcare management consulting firm. Craig has 30 years of healthcare and IT experience. In addition to practicing medicine as a primary care pediatrician, he worked for Epic and has served as Chief Medical Information Officer at multiple healthcare organizations.
While at Epic, Craig was instrumental in building what is called the Foundation System. He also assisted in the implementation and optimization of the electronic health record for Epic customers across the United States and Europe.
After leaving Epic, Craig served as CMIO at Agnesian HealthCare, Texas Children’s, El Camino Health, and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Joseph is the co-author of “Designing for Health: The Human-Centered Approach,” a book that promotes the intentional application of design to the particular needs of clinicians, hospital staff, and patients.
Craig is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Informatics Association. He remains actively board-certified in both pediatrics and clinical informatics.
